HR Manager
Location - Sittingbourne
Salary - £45,000 to £50,000 per annum
Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

A well-known and respected local manufacturing company is looking to employ a standalone HR Manager to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on HR generalist looking to work for a forward-thinking and agile organisation.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing all HR functions within the company to ensure comprehensive management.
* Orchestrating the entirety of the recruitment process, guaranteeing a professional execution from initiation to induction.
* Collaborating with the Finance Manager to address HR aspects of the company's stakeholder pension scheme, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Coordinating and guiding the company's internal appraisal system, facilitating timely and seamless execution to enhance the company's reputation as an Employer of Choice.
* Offering counsel to the Managing Director and senior executives on employment law matters.
* Directing disciplinary and grievance proceedings to ensure compliance with legal standards and maintain consistency.
* Managing employee attendance policies and procedures, including the application of the Bradford factor.
* Overseeing all HR-related communication channels, such as notice boards and newsletters.
* Generating necessary reports on various HR metrics including headcount, probations, and attendance.
* Developing and updating HR documents such as the Employee Handbook, policies, and procedures.
* Providing insights on the company's compensation and benefits strategy and tactics.
* Arranging and tracking staff training initiatives.
* Chairing monthly HR Management Meetings.
* Representing HR perspectives in management and shareholder gatherings.
* Maintaining personnel records and HR administrative tasks per legal and organisational requirements.
* Coordinating internal staff practices like long service awards and employee recognition programs.
* Other duties as deemed reasonable
Skills and Experience
Preferably holds a CIPD Level 5 qualification
Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a similar manufacturing or related field
Previous experience in a standalone HR generalist capacity
Demonstrates a robust understanding of employment law
Possesses excellent communication skills, adaptable to various organizational levels
Capable of fulfilling all HR administrative duties to specified standards
Self-driven and able to independently manage workload priorities, including urgent tasks and daily responsibilities
Exhibits a strong commercial orientation
Proficient in implementing cultural change strategies
Maintains composure and demonstrates meticulous attention to detail even in high-pressure situations
Proficient in delivering effective presentations
Possesses good IT proficiency, particularly in email and word-processing software
Upholds a professional demeanour aligned with company values
Holds a valid UK driving license and owns a vehicle
