Responsibilities
* Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
* Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
* Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing relevant food order
* Supervising staff
* To complete any additional training
Skills
* Experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally within a care home environment
* Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as required
* Previous experience in meal preparation
