At Cornfield School, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and structured environment for boys aged 8 to 16 who face social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Located in Littlehampton, West Sussex, our school supports each student’s unique needs, fostering their academic, personal, and social development.
Role
We are looking to appoint a Subject Leader or Teacher of Food Technology to start in January 2026. The successful applicant will work alongside our friendly and supportive team of professionals who put the students at the heart of what we do.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate robustness and resilience in a demanding SEMH environment.
* Maintain calm and have excellent communication skills with both adults and young people.
* Show good organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and act as a role model for students.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience working with children with SEN; experience with Social, Emotional and Communication Difficulties would be advantageous.
* Management experience is advantageous; excellent classroom practice.
* Open to experienced and recently qualified practitioners; consideration for unqualified teachers with the right skills and approach for working in an SEMH setting.

* Part Time 0.6 FTE (other working patterns will be considered)
* Required to start January 2026
