We are supporting an established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across sectors including care homes, automotive showrooms/centres, hotels, commercial buildings, and complex refurbishments. With projects typically valued up to £18 million, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager on a permanent basis to support their growing pipeline. Senior Site Manager Role Overview As Senior Site Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of a technically involved project, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-standard construction. You will manage subcontractor coordination, programme, site logistics, quality, and maintain clear communication with the wider project team. Senior Site Manager Key Responsibilities Lead on-site operations on new build, refurbishment, or cut-and-carve schemes within the care, automotive, or hospitality sectors. Manage subcontractors, sequencing, and site resources to keep the project progressing to programme. Maintain exceptional health & safety compliance, including RAMS, inductions, and toolbox talks. Oversee workmanship and technical quality throughout the project lifecycle. Produce site reporting, including progress updates, diaries, and documentation. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. Support junior team members with guidance and leadership. Senior Site Manager Experience & Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on care homes, automotive facilities, hotels, or similar commercial projects. Strong background in managing technically challenging new builds or refurbishment works. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills. Solid understanding of construction processes and H&S regulations. SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid are essential. Proficient with IT and site management software.
