What is the Opportunity?We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Security Developer to join our team in our Fenchurch office in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions to enhance RBC's cloud security posture, and will also contribute to the developer experience and foster a culture that encourages best security practices.Should you be shortlisted, do please let us know if you have any specific requirements for the interview.This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days at our 100 Bishopsgate, London office.What will you do?Establish core services and security controls across or Azure, AWS, GCP and Kubernetes environments.
Design and build cloud security solutions using automation, config as code, and TDD principles.
Implement SRE practices to enhance operational processes and reliability.
Collaborate with multiple engineering groups to align on technical strategies.
Develop security coverage reports to identify gaps and enhance the cloud security strategy.
Lead and participate in delivering end-to-end integrated solutions.
Familiarity with modern software development, DevOps, and SRE practices.
Experience in Python
Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
Experience working with container tools and platforms.
Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like ARM, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
Must be available for on call support.
Experience with observability tools and frameworks like Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry etc.
Experience with Open Policy Agent
Experience in Go, TypeScript, or any other modern programming language.
Cloud or Security certifications
