Hays are supporting a third sector organisation to recruit a temporary Business Support Officer on a part-time basis.
Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a well-respected organisation as a Business Support Officer. This role offers a varied workload and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the smooth running of HR operations and wider administrative functions. Working closely with the Business Support Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting recruitment and onboarding processes, and coordinating training activities across the organisation.
Duties will include:
1. Finance: Processing invoices
2. HR & Training: Maintaining HR records, supporting recruitment, coordinating training events, and ensuringpliance with policies and legislation.
3. IT & Facilities: Providing IT and telephony support, and coordinating facilities management.
4. Administration: Delivering high-quality administrative services, managing records, handling reception duties, and supporting organisational processes.
The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What you'll need to succeed
5. GCSE English and Maths plus 2 years’ experience in a business support role, or 4 years’ relevant experience
6. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively prioritising tasks, meeting demanding deadlines, and demonstrating strong initiative and sound judgement.
7. Working knowledge of business support functions, with hands-on experience in areas such as Finance, Human Resources, IT, Training, Facilities, and Administrative Support Services.
8. Excellentmunication skills with ability to deliver high quality customer service.
