Role Summary
The Quality Manager will lead the strategic and day-to-day activities of the Quality division, championing a quality-first mindset across the organisation. The role will focus on maintaining compliance with quaity standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the company's Quality Management System, ensuring it aligns with IATF 16949 and meets all regulatory and customer expectations.
* Lead internal audits and quality reviews to assess system effectiveness and drive compliance.
* Manage and develop a team of quality professionals, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
* Provide coaching, feedback, and training to support team growth and performance.
* Analyse operational processes to identify areas for improvement, applying methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
* Track and report on quality metrics, implementing corrective actions to address any issues.
* Act as the main liaison for customer quality concerns, resolving issues promptly and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Work closely with suppliers to uphold quality standards, conducting audits and managing onboarding of new vendors and materials.
* Maintain accurate records of all quality activities and present findings to senior leadership.
* Monitor changes in industry regulations and ensure the business remains compliant, including communication with relevant authorities when required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience leading and managing a Quality function at a managerial and departmental level, including managing a team.
* Ideally possess experience in and knowledge of the requirements and expectations of supplying into the automotive sector with a strong knowledge of IATF 16949 as well as strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and systems.
* IATF Lead Auditor.
* Strong knowledge of quality management tools and methodologies.
* Previous experience within a Quality Manager / Quality Supervisor / Head of Quality role within a busy manufacturing environment.
