Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of food safety and quality. The role is for a Friday Only.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
* Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
* Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
* Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
* Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, making adjustments as necessary.
* Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
* Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
* Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse dishes.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
* A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals for children.
