Salary: £18,886 - £27,514 per annum (dependent on experience)
Review: After 6 months with opportunities for salary progression and role development

Our partner is a well-established alternative provision in the heart of Enfield, seeking a dedicated Male Learning Mentor / SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a permanent role with scope to take on additional responsibilities as you grow within the school.
You will work with small classes of up to 8 students aged 7-11, supporting pupils who are at risk of permanent exclusion and often present with social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) needs. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help manage behaviour, provide targeted support, and encourage positive engagement in learning.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with challenging behaviour
* Support classroom management and behaviour strategies alongside the teacher
* Encourage social, emotional, and academic development
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, building trust and confidence
* Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Candidate
* Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, or similar role
* Confident supporting pupils with SEMH needs
* Calm, patient, and resilient when managing challenging behaviour
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Committed to making a meaningful difference in pupils' lives
