Overview

The Site Manager will work on our SHDF retrofit programme within the social housing sector, delivering high standard site management for Planned Works Programmes to Housing properties. You will support local teams to provide excellent service while upholding safety, quality, and cost control standards.

Location: Thanet
Employment type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: up to £45,900 per annum, plus company van or car allowance
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday


Responsibilities

* Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of planned works contracts and all associated staff, ensuring contractual KPI targets are achieved and maintained
* Coordinate internal and external works (wall cavity insulation, new windows, doors, storage heaters, roofing, scaffolding) within properties, including tower blocks and working at heights
* Monitor work programme progression and completion via site visits; ensure works are resourced, delivered to quality standards, and completed on time and within budget
* Manage employees and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with H&S regulations, Mears SOPs, quality accreditations, CDM, and relevant legislation
* Provide quotations, manage costs during works, and ensure final accounts are accurate and timely
* Carry out onsite inspections, investigations, reports, and proposals for continuous improvement
* Liaise with Design Teams, Client Representatives and Consultants
* Provide effective people management, ensuring HR policies and procedures are followed
* Maintain a professional customer experience and high Health & Safety standards in all stakeholder interactions
* Follow policies, procedures, and work instructions; keep company assets in good condition and report damages
* Undertake other duties as required, support other site managers as needed, and attend meetings and training sessions


Role Criteria

* SMSTS qualification
* Knowledge of PAS 2035 domestic retrofit
* EWI/CWI experience
* Asbestos awareness
* First aid at work
* Social housing refurbishment experience
* UK full driving license
* Working at heights including scaffold inspection experience
* Knowledge of housing improvements measured term contracts and Schedule of Rates
* Managing, monitoring, recording, and reporting Health & Safety and compliance
* Experience of managing sub-contractors
* Health & Safety knowledge, including COSHH
* Strong customer focus
* Problem solving and results orientation
* Ability to negotiate and influence
* IT literate with confident oral and written communication skills
* Thorough knowledge of CDM requirements
