Role Summary
The Head of Estates will lead and manage the college’s estates services team, ensuring facilities are safe, well‑maintained and ready to support high‑quality teaching and learning. You will oversee a wide range of estates and maintenance functions, working closely with senior leadership and external partners to deliver strategic improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the estates services team to deliver a high‑standard, compliant estate.
Manage planned and reactive maintenance programmes across the campus.
Support budget management for estates, including forecasting expenditure and controlling costs.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, premises regulations and statutory requirements.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to plan and deliver facilities improvements.
Provide strategic insight into estates development aligned with operational college priorities. Person Specification
Essential
Strong technical knowledge of estates management, building services and facilities
Proven experience in maintenance planning and estates operations within education or a similar complex environment
Solid understanding of budget planning and financial control
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively Desirable
Broader estates or operations experience in a support capacity
