Our client is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Site Manager to oversee the efficient running of their school site. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled facilities professional to play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-managed learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
Act as the designated 'competent person' for health and safety, ensuring full compliance with legislation and best practice.
Supervise site operatives and cleaning staff, supporting their training and performance.
Manage site security and emergency procedures.
Liaise with the Principal, teaching staff, and external contractors to ensure smooth daily operations.
Be available for emergency situations outside of normal working hours.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in facilities management, with supervisory or line management responsibilities.
Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and mechanical/electrical systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
A trade skill (e.g. plumbing, painting, electrics) is advantageous.
Confident with IT and administrative tasks.
