Responsibilities
* Responsible for managing daily operations of a busy restaurant, coffee bar and refreshment areas
* Plan, lead and deliver exceptional customer service
* Create a culture of service and teamwork
* Manage and drive marketing activities to build customer loyalty and sales
* Hold daily briefings with the team to engage them on key messages and encourage discussion
* Ensure standards required by the client are met and 5* service is delivered
* Motivate and lead by example, ensuring the team has fun at work and is proud of their efforts
* Seek opportunities to exceed customer and client expectations and increase sales
* Assist as directed with preparation and presentation of food to company standards, ensuring adherence to legislation including HACCP
* Monitor compliance with company and government regulations regarding customer service, food preparation and serving
* Ensure all financial and administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies, banking reconciliation and till operations
* Assist compilation and delivery of various management reports (Word, Excel)
* Day‑to‑day management of the ordering process and stock control
* Maintain working knowledge of HACCP & Health & Safety laws
Requirements
* Organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, multi‑task and work quickly and efficiently, meeting deadlines despite conflicting priorities
* Positive attitude, professionalism and respect for others
* Passion for food, coffee and customer service
* Ability to work within a team and without supervision
* Excellent team‑player, able to communicate at all levels and share knowledge and skills within the team
* Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
* Computer literate with experience using Excel spreadsheets
* Strong financial understanding and demonstration of budgeting management
* Good understanding of report writing and financial management
* Creativity and flair for marketing
