Role Overview
The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for leading and executing HR strategies across Abbott Lyon. This key leadership role will involve overseeing all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, organisational structure and change management, and employee relations. The Head of HR will play an instrumental role in developing a culture of high performance, inclusivity, and growth, ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
Reporting into the CEO you will play a key role in shaping our future business footprint from a people perspective and driving our culture agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
○ Develop and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with Abbott Lyon's business objectives and ambitious growth plans.
○ Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment between business goals and people strategy.
○ Provide guidance and counsel to senior management on HR-related matters, including evolving organisational structures, talent development, succession planning, and leadership effectiveness.
Talent Acquisition & Development:
○ Lead the recruitment strategy to ensure the company attracts top-tier talent, improving the recruitment process.
○ Oversee talent development programs, focusing on career progression, training, leadership development, and employee engagement.
○ Foster a performance-driven culture through continuous feedback, recognition, and professional growth initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
○ Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and engagement.
○ Lead initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, retention, and well-being.
○ Act as an employee advocate, ensuring their voices are heard while balancing company needs.
HR Operations & Compliance:
○ Oversee the efficient management of HR processes, including compensation and benefits, payroll, and HR policies
○ Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, mitigating risk for the company.
Change Management:
○ Lead organisational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
○ Support the company’s growth and scale efforts, adapting HR systems, recruitment frameworks and processes to meet evolving needs.
Qualifications
* Proven experience (7+ years) in HR leadership roles, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth company.
* Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, talent management, and organisational development.
* Demonstrated success in driving HR strategies that have a direct impact on business performance.
* Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day HR operations.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
