Job Description: Position:Site Manager Cookstown Road Facility Location: Omagh Reporting to: Senior Production Manager Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you shall assist in ensuring the smooth flow of production through the Cookstown Road facility (fabrication & fitting), through the monitoring and management of performance and output levels, and ensuring that the day to day production levels achieve build to schedule and on time delivery whilst meeting high quality standards. As a satellite site you will also be responsible for focussing on the promotion of promoting Health & Safety compliance and standards, helping to create a culture of continuous improvement and drive towards zero harm within the workplace. Main Duties & Responsibilities To manage the Cookstown Road facility at a strategic level by managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations at the site with accountability for production, quality, health, safety & environment and general facilities. Play an active role within the operations management team by implementing the Terex Business System at the site and embed it into day-to-day operations by promoting a culture of continuous improvement, monitoring production costs within budget, and striving towards best practice world class manufacturing. To actively improve the capacity and efficiencies of the manufacturing unit by achieving on time delivery, build to schedule & cost targets by improving and expanding the manufacturing footprint. To liaise with the production control department to establish planning constraints in line with capacity planning functions, and address any gaps in headcount, skills and knowledge through appropriate training and development plans. To ensure high levels of compliance to all company quality standards. To be accountable for performance and all KPIs in relation to the facility and report out at a senior level as required. To proactively work towards Zero Harm through continuous review of H&S statistics and compliance with all H&S legislation as well as Terex H&S standards. Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to accept and fulfil any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time. What youll bring: Experience & Qualifications: Essential Criteria Proven track record of managing a fast-moving Production type environment, preferably engineering. Good standard of education and/or demonstration of self-development and career progression. Proven track-record in proactive people management through staff appraisal, development, and succession planning A good working knowledge of operations, planning, and process flows is essential. A good working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental issues. Desirable Criteria A sound knowledge, understanding and experience of fabrication management. Knowledge and experience of ERP/MRP systems. A proven track record of HSE management and demonstrated improvements in process & culture. Strong understanding of finance in terms of operational efficiencies, absorption rates and budget constraints in general. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A good understanding of lean manufacturing, just in time, and continuous improvement techniques. Results focused individual with the energy, drive, commitment & courage to make it happen. A Can do attitude and ability to interact with a multi-functional team. Ability to assess workload and commit to realistic deadlines. Logical and methodical approach to problem solving. Creativity and innovative thinking. Ability to use initiative.
