Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team in the role of Cook. The role will include preparation and kitchen operations within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. Previous experience in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred.
Duties
* Food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
* Cook meals according to specified recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
* Prepare ingredients and components for meal service, including portioning and garnishing
* Support the team during busy periods by serving customers and managing orders efficiently
* Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers
* Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages or expiry dates
Experience
* Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a kitchen environment is advantageous
* Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
* Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting will be considered a plus
* Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary practices is beneficial
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential
* Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers are highly valued

Pay: £12.26-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
