Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Breakfast Cook, you will play a vital role in food preparation and meal preparation, ensuring that our guests enjoy a delicious and well-presented breakfast before heading to work.
Shifts will be Monday - Friday 5:30am - 2am. Must own transport as there is no local transport at this time.
You will also get a full split of tips. Paid holidays.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring seasonal ingredients are utilised effectively.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
* Clean and organise the kitchen area, including cooking equipment and utensils.
* Help train new kitchen staff as needed, fostering a supportive team environment.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar culinary setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to work collaboratively with team members.
* A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve skills in food preparation and presentation.
