Employment Lawyer (18 months to 5 years PQE) London – West End Top 200 UK Law Firm IRG Law is working with a well-established Top 200 UK law firm in London’s West End to recruit a talented Employment Lawyer (18 months to 5 years PQE) into its growing and highly regarded Employment team. The Firm Our client is a full-service London practice operating out of prime west end office with a strong reputation across both the UK and internationally. The employment team works collaboratively to provide strategic and commercially focused employment advice to UK and international clients. The Role You will work closely with the Co-Heads of Department and Partners, advising primarily employer clients across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including: Advise employer clients on all aspects of employment law, including routine enquiries, capability and attendance issues, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and termination of employment. Draft and review employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR documentation. Support the Partners in handling complex employment disputes, including Employment Tribunal claims. Assist with due diligence tasks and provide employment/TUPE support on corporate and property transactions. Assist with business development initiatives, articles and commentary, workshops and management training. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. This role offers genuine breadth, with exposure to both standalone employment matters and transactional support work. The Ideal Candidate Qualified solicitor with 18 months to 5 years’ PQE in employment law. Strong litigation experience with a clear leaning towards employer work. Experience advising senior executives and business stakeholders. Exposure to transactional support and due diligence. Confident drafting and negotiation skills. Commercially aware and client-focused.
