Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team in a elderly Day care setting up to a max of 20 clients. The working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 10am - 2pm, preparing and serving Lunch, baking. .The ideal candidate will have a Knowledge in food preparation and a keen understanding of food safety standards. There be at time the requirement to produce modified diets. This role is essential for ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and that our clients enjoy high-quality meals. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
* Ensure timely meal preparation and service.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a kitchen environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
* A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
