Yewstock School is an Outstanding all-age Special School (3-19 years) for pupils with a wide range of complex learning needs.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Site Manager to help keep our school safe, well-maintained, and running smoothly. You will play a key part in creating a happy and safe place for our pupils to learn. This is a full-time role, but we can be flexible with hours for the right person.
Your Role Will Include
* Day-to-day repairs and maintenance
* Managing larger site projects and planning ongoing upkeep
* Making sure we meet all health and safety rules and carry out risk assessments
* Working with the School Business Manager to get the best value for money on site costs
* Managing contractors and contract cleaning staff
* Acting as the main key holder and supporting school security
* Keeping the site and grounds clean, safe, and welcoming
We’re Looking For Someone Who
* Has experience with health and safety rules and procedures
* Can prioritise tasks, is reliable and flexible
* Works well on their own and as part of a team
* Communicates clearly with staff, visitors, and contractors
* Follows school policies to help keep children and adults safe
* Has basic DIY and repair skills (experience in a trade like plumbing, painting, or carpentry would be a bonus)
* Can manage a budget and keep accurate records
* Is confident using email, Word, and other basic computer systems
