The ideal candidate will have a minimum 1 year sales experience with excellent communication skills and a natural talent for building strong relationships.You’ll be highly organised, proactive, and eager to develop your sales career.Full product and industry training, along with ongoing support from our experienced team, will be provided.
As a Sales Executive, you will support the growth and development of customer accounts across the UK, focusing on Fuel & Lubricant Additives, Base Oils, White Oils, and Waxes as well as other products.This position plays a key part in supporting both existing sales activities and helping to generate new business.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Manage various SBZ customer accounts across a variety of product groups, as account lead
* Build and develop customer relationships to target long-term sales
* Contribute to identifying and developing new business opportunities with current and new customers
* Scheduling and attending regular customer visits
* Maintain accurate customer and commercial records (e.g. spreadsheets, shared systems)
* Assist in preparing reports and summaries for the sales leadership team
* Supporting the wider sales team where necessary with sales support
* Follow company policies and industry guidelines when communicating with customers and handling commercial data
* Ensure all customer information is kept accurate, professional, and up to date
* Work in line with SBZ’s standards for ethical conduct and professional behaviour
This is a people-focused role that requires excellent communication and a strong customer-first approach. You will help build lasting relationships with customers and act as a helpful, reliable point of contact.
* Respond to customer queries with professionalism and clarity
* Liaise with internal teams to support customer requirements
* Help maintain a high standard of service throughout the customer journey
* Support lead generation activities and coordinate follow-up
* Represent SBZ’s values and reputation in all interactions
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum 1 year experience in a sales related or customer facing role.Industry experience not required.
* Strong communication and social skills
* Detail-focused, organised, and reliable
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Professional, punctual, and respectful in all work and communication
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings

Salary and Benefits:
Competitive salary depending on experience

Hours and location:
Monday to Friday 08:30am to 4:30pm, with a 60-minute unpaid break
Based at our Head Office in Wickford, Essex
