Job Description:
We are looking for Temporary Labourer to join our Glasgow team. We would like to appoint them on a week-to-week basis.
We anticipate we will probably need them for between 3 to 4 weeks.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: TEMPORARY Plant Labourer
Location: Brewster Brothers Ltd, Gartshore Works, Twechar (near Cumbernauld)
Reports to: Site Foreman
Department: Plant and Maintenance Department
Position Type: Temporary
Key Responsibilities
* Perform manual labour tasks as directed by site foreman
* Keep the site clean and tidy at all times
* Maintain awareness of health and safety protocols and report any concerns
* Operate power washing equipment to clean the washplant area and surrounding spaces
* Assist with day-to-day operations of the recycled aggregates facility
* Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
* Support other team members as needed
Skills and Qualifications
Required
* Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour
* Reliable and punctual with good work ethic
* Basic understanding of construction site safety practices
* Ability to follow instructions accurately
* Willingness to work in all weather conditions
* Ability to commute to site, with own transport
Preferred
* Previous experience in construction or similar industrial settings
* CSCS card or equivalent safety certification
* Experience with power washing equipment
* Tickets/licenses for operating wheeled loading shovels, 360 excavators, or dump trucks (not essential but highly desirable)
Working Conditions
* Working outdoors in various weather conditions
* Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and carrying heavy items
* May involve working with noisy machinery and equipment
* Standard working hours – 07:00am to 4:30pm with possibility of occasional overtime on a Saturday morning.
