About the Role
As our company continues to grow and secure new projects, we are seeking a reliable and hardworking labourer to join our team. This role will primarily oversee projects in East London, particularly in Forest Gate, Wanstead, and Walthamstow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertaking some ground work including excavation and underpinning, under the supervision of other senior members of the team.
* Mixing of mortar and concrete for bricklayers and general builders.
* Experience with steelwork and underground drainage would be beneficial.
* Clearing waste and filling skips.
* Perform general labouring and assisting with various other tasks on construction sites.
* Maintaining and cleaning work sites before, during, and after construction tasks.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a labourer is essential; groundwork experience is a plus.
* Valid driver’s license would be advantageous.
* Proof of Right to Work in the UK required.
* Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Romanian is beneficial.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labour tasks.
* CSCS Card preferred but not essential.
* Minimum of 2 employer references.
