Overview
We are looking to recruit a Nursery Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a solo position and be required to prepare and cook healthy meals, paying close attention to the new Government Nutrition Guidance for Children 2025.
Key Responsibilities will include:
+Preparing meals and snacks in a hygienic and timely manner.
+Ensure that all children with dietary requirements/allergies are catered for in compliance with our company policy and Health & Safety requirements including completion of all required records.
+Maintain adequate stores and food stuffs in appropriate storage conditions.+Carry out daily opening and closing checks.
+Ensure that all areas of the kitchen including all kitchen equipment are kept clean and orderly, carrying out all required cleaning duties, ensuring that all records are completed on time.
+Observe high standards of food hygiene during the preparation, cooking and serving of all foods.
+Work in a safe and organised manner adhering to health & safety standards at all times.
+Work as part of the team.
+Undertake relevant Safeguarding training.
+Adhere to all our Policies and Procedures at the setting
+Possess a Level 2/3 Food Hygiene Certificate and/or undertake relevant training as required.
We are committed to the Safeguarding of all our children, so the successful applicant will be required to hold and enhanced DBS certificate and to have joined the update service.
Mon - Wed - 8am-1pmPay: £12.21 per hour
