Dowds are seeking a Quality Manager to join our SHEQ Team. What you’ll be responsible for
* Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s integrated Quality Management System across all projects and offices
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and all relevant statutory, regulatory, and Client quality standards.
* Oversee quality assurance processes during installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of MEP systems.
* Ensure subcontractors operate in accordance with company QMS standards and project specific quality requirements.
* Prepare and review quality reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics for internal and Client reporting.
* Work closely with H&S, Environmental, Commercial, Design, Estimating, and Operations teams to integrate quality into all stages of delivery.
* Develop, review, and maintain the Quality Policy, procedures, processes, and associated documentation.
* Support project teams in identifying quality risks and implementing preventative and corrective measures.
What we are looking for
* Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and integrated management systems.
* Practical experience within MEP construction, Facilities Management, and/or Energy sectors
* Lead Auditor qualification ISO 9001 or equivalent
* Leads by example and demonstrates a strong personal commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
* Promotes a proactive, prevention-focused quality culture rather than reactive defect management.
* Ability to influence and challenge at all levels of the organisation
* Detail oriented with a proactive and structured approach
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, or related discipline
* Membership of Chartered Quality Institute or working towards Chartered status
* Experience with integrated management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 19650)
* Experience of managing quality within multi-site operations
* Internal Auditor training (ISo14001 / ISO 45001)
* Full UK driving license
