We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Handyperson to join a leading and growing manufacturing company based near Christchurch.
Introduction
The primary role of the Handyperson will involve supporting across the manufacturing site with a variety of duties.
Responsibilities
* Keeping all manufacturing areas clean, with a regular cleaning schedule.
* Maintaining buildings and site in a clean and orderly condition, including yard maintenance (hedge trimming, debris removal).
* Ensuring the entire site is well maintained, and notifying management of repair and maintenance needs.
* Managing waste, including general waste, recycling, metal swarf segregation, and hazardous waste (oil).
* Annually draining and cleaning slurry from machines.
* Operating forklifts to move goods, materials, and scrap/swarf bins within the factory and yard.
* Following all H&S procedures and processes.
Ideal Experience
The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and willing to undertake a variety of duties. Previous experience as a handyperson, site assistant, or manufacturing helper is preferred. Forklift experience is an advantage but not essential. The role involves lifting and moving stock and equipment in a safe manner.
Salary
£25,762 for 25 hours per week, which equates to £19.82 per hour.
Hours
25 hours per week, flexible across 4 days (Monday to Thursday).
