Description
As the HR Manager, you will be a hands‑on member of the team, involved in all aspects of HR across the organisation. You will support and advise teams across two sites: Frome and London.
You will work in close partnership with the Site Manager to ensure that all HR services and guidance support the company's objectives and contribute to their successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for general enquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
Upload monthly pension information.
Complete end‑of‑month reporting for the Head of HR and Finance teams.
Support Line Managers with all recruitment activities, ensuring a timely and cost‑effective process in line with company guidelines.
Assist Line Managers in coordinating and meeting all site training needs.
Support Line Managers during absence and performance management meetings.
Monitor and manage labour levels to help reduce costs and overheads.
Liaise with external labour providers, including supporting customer audits and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Provide HR documentation and information for all customer audits conducted on site.
Advise employees and managers on maternity, paternity, and other family‑related policies and procedures.
Contribute to the development and growth of the UK business.
Support the organisation and promotion of social and employee engagement activities.
Oversee canteen operations and monitor associated costs.
Support the review and development of company policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
Undertake ad hoc tasks and projects to support the HR function as required.Profile
A successful HR Manager should have:
Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
Proven experience in HR management within the manufacturing/FMCG sector.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Proficiency in HR software and tools.
Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
