We’re looking for our new Group Quality Manager. In this position, you will have autonomy to drive and shape a global quality function, making a tangible impact. This role will have you managing a small international team whilst working internationally with our offices in USA, China, Ireland and our new office in South Africa. You’ll be responsible for maintaining Expo Group’s accreditations, leading audits, improving systems, resolving non-conformances, and reducing the overall cost of quality. Key Responsibilities * Responsible for maintaining accreditation to ISO9001 internationally. * Responsible for maintaining accreditation to IEC (phone number removed), across all Expo Technologies sites. * Maintaining and enhancing existing quality procedures to ensure they meet current safety, legal and other national or international requirements. * Overall responsibility for scheduling and controlling Internal Quality Audits. * To conduct Internal Quality Audits as required. * Be the primary point of contact for external auditors and inspection bodies carrying out audits in the UK and provide remote support for external audits at all other group sites. * Timely and regular recording and management of quality issues in the Quality Management System. * Record and report all Quality metrics and KPIs. * Deliver Improvement Reports, non-conformance, corrective & preventative actions, quality costs, and report these findings to management and into the Management Review. * Push for rapid resolution with corrective and preventative actions. * Report safety near hits and rectify causes according to company procedure, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained. * To carry out inspections where necessary in processes, from goods inwards through to despatch, with emphasis on high-risk processes. * To deal with suppliers and sub-contractors, managing rejections and defining corrective and preventative actions. * To provide support to Purchasing on the assessment and approval of suppliers. * To respond to and manage Warranty claims, resolving through arrangement of spare parts, repairs, or other. * To support the Service team with repairs to ensure customer requirements are met. * Identify departments and individuals responsible for resolving quality issues and follow up to ensure resolution. * Coordinate the implementation of corrective and preventative actions, ensuring all changes are correctly documented. * Liaise with other departments to achieve targets and company goals—building mutually supportive relationships to help resolve issues. * Manage effective communication through all levels of the company. * Manage the Quality team workload to ensure that all customer feedback is dealt with in a timely and effective manner. * To liaise with customers, ensuring that Improvement Reports are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. * To work closely with different Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to identify the underlying root cause and drive solutions to reduce non-conformances. * Make continuous improvement part of the daily culture. * Understand, and where possible, exceed KPIs and targets. * Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s health and safety, quality, and environmental standards. * To control and maintain calibration of all measurement equipment, keeping appropriate records. Experience Strong inter-departmental communication skills 5-year experience in a quality engineer role 2-year experience in a quality manager role Experience with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 Experience working across multiple sites Experience with IEC (phone number removed) is desirable Education ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification Degree equivalent work experience in an engineering or manufacturing discipline Flexible Working: We would expect you to be full-time on site, however, we would consider ad hoc work from home requests when the need arises
