About this job
To be successful in this role, you will need experience of the trade union movement and the Labour Party to help advance the priorities of public service workers in Parliament and beyond. You will be capable of establishing, maintaining and developing political contacts and relationships at all levels of national, regional and local government and within the devolved nations, as well as supporting the UNISON group of MPs.
Knowledge of the Labour Party and a commitment to its principles are essential as is knowledge of UNISON and its link with the Party.
Representing UNISON externally and Labour Link internally, you will have excellent representational, communication and people skills. You will also understand the role of UNISON’s lay democracy at the heart of our work, and understand how to report to a political committee.
You are always ready to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever you might be needed – Labour Link is a small team, but one that supports all aspects of our union through political organising and campaigning.
