Role Overview
The Finance and HR Officer is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the effective financial and human resources management of Larne Community Care Centre. This role includes managing daily financial operations, payroll, budgeting, HR policy implementation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to supporting a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Finance:
 * Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
 * Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to aid decision-making.
 * Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring adherence to payroll laws and regulations.
 * Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
 * Collaborate with the management team to develop funding strategies, including grant applications and tracking of funding allocations.
Human Resources:
 * Support recruitment processes, including posting job adverts, screening applications, and coordinating interviews.
 * Administer onboarding and orientation for new employees, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
 * Maintain employee records, monitor time and attendance, and manage leave records.
 * Ensure compliance with employment legislation, including health and safety regulations.
 * Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, supporting a healthy and inclusive workplace culture.
 * Provide general HR support, addressing employee inquiries, and assisting with performance management.
Qualifications and Experience
 * Experience in finance, accounting, HR, or a related field.
 * Previous experience in Finance and HR roles, ideally within the charitable or non-profit sector.
 * Proficiency in accounting software and HR management tools.
 * Strong knowledge of financial regulations, employment law, and HR best practices.
 * Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
 * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.65 per hour
