Handyman / Site Maintenance Operative

About the role:
As a Handyman you will play a key role in maintaining the dealership's appearance and functionality. This includes general site upkeep, basic repairs, and grounds maintenance to ensure the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for both staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out general site maintenance and minor DIY repairs (e.g. fixing doors, shelves, light fittings, locks, and small painting jobs).
* Ensure all outside areas, plants, and bedding areas are kept neat, tidy, and well-maintained.
* Sweeping the site clear from debris and dirt, ensuring that the site is looking presentable and safe for our customers.
* Keep car park and forecourt areas clean and presentable.
* Monitor the condition of the site and promptly address minor issues or report larger problems to management.
* Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and general upkeep tasks when required.
* Perform routine checks to maintain health & safety standards on site.
* Support the wider team with ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar handyman, maintenance, or grounds keeping role preferred.
* Basic knowledge of DIY, tools, and repair techniques.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* A proactive attitude and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills.
* Full, Clean UK driving license
