Administrative Officer (AO) - Accounts Receivable

Location: Newforge Lane
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £ per hour

About the Role

AFBI are seeking a motivated and organised Administrative Officer (AO) to join the Finance Processing - Accounts Receivable team based in Newforge. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced finance environment.

The successful candidate will support the Accounts Receivable function by processing invoices, resolving customer queries, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with financial administration duties.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Format data for importing into the finance accounting system to generate batch invoices for customers.
2. Create manual invoices and credit notes on customer accounts within the finance accounting system.
3. Carry out credit control duties, including issuing statements and copy invoices to customers upon request.
4. Take customer credit card payments over the telephone.
5. Resolve customer and supplier queries via email and telephone in a professional and timely manner.
6. Process supplier invoices for payment using the purchasing ordering system.
7. Review and post staff expense claims.
8. Maintain accurate work trackers and query logs using Content Manager.
9. Provide general administrative support within the finance function as required.

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

10. Two GCSEs in Mathematics and English (or equivalent qualification).
11. Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally both verbally and in writing.
12. Experience in an administrative support role that included internal or external customer support responsibilities.
13. Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
