A forward-thinking technology organisation is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join their engineering team working on highly scalable platforms built around modern microservice architecture.
You will be working in a collaborative engineering environment where strong software engineering principles, testing culture, and modern DevOps practices are central to how the team delivers software.
Responsibilities:
* Develop high-quality frontend applications using React and Typescript
* Work within a microservices-based architecture alongside backend engineers
* Contribute to test-driven development and maintain high code quality
* Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments
* Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in agile teams
* Support continuous improvement of development standards and engineering practices
Essential Skills:
* Live, transferrable SC Clearance
* Strong experience with React
* Commercial experience with Typescript
* Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres or other SQL databases
* Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker
* Experience using CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
* Experience working with test-driven development and modern testing frameworks
Desirable Skills:
* API specification standards such as Swagger / OpenAPI
* Gradle build tooling
* Database migration tooling such as Liquibase
* Event streaming technologies such as Kafka
* Java or Spring Boot experience
