A well-established nursery and training college in Reading, Berkshire. Catering for up to 120 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast/Lunch and Afternoon Snack. There is not much hospitality at this location. This is a 52 week contract and operates Monday to Friday. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site. Monday - Friday day time only We are looking for a talented Nursery cook to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Reading. You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset. Key responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of food following recipe cards Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment Nursery meals Lunch, light tea and snacks. To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled. Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed. Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage Excellent customer service skills Great team player You will have the following skills: A genuine interest in food & excellent customer service An all-round team player Innovation and passion for great food An organised person with attention to detail Knowledge / competencies: Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English. Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
