Join the digital transformation of GKN Aerospace Engines!
We are seeking a talented and motivated Operational Technology Developer to join our Operational Technology (OT) team. As a member of our global team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our internal platform for machine connectivity. This platform serves as an integration, data collection, analytics, and visualization tool across all GKN Aerospace Engines sites. Additionally, you will maintain and assist in enabling our Technology and Operations organizations with digital tools and infrastructure for their process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain cutting-edge applications using the latest DevOps methodologies and best practices to support GKN Aerospace Engines' digital transformation.
* Participate in activities at our Global Technology Center to explore emerging technologies, leveraging advancements to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and stability of our applications, fostering collaboration across the organization.
* Monitor the performance of OT applications, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize operational efficiency.
* Ensure the privacy and security of sensitive data stored within our applications.
* Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our applications and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
* BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience, with 5+ years in DevOps, software development, IT architecture, or machine tool IT systems.
* Strong understanding of machine tool controllers, automation, and aerospace component production (or similar industries).
* Expertise with DevOps tools such as Git, Linux, scripting, containers, and databases.
* Experience with Kubernetes is advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Effective communication and organization skills, with a collaborative mindset.
* Willingness to travel nationally, regionally, and occasionally globally.
