Site Manager - Wem SY4

This lovely school require a reliable, dependable and trustworthy person to join our small facilities and grounds team in the role of Site Manager.
The successful candidate will be confident in securing the school premises overnight and during closures, and possess good DIY and maintenance skills.
The working hours for the post are- 40 per week, working 8am noon to 4pm, however the School can be flexible for the right candidate.
Potential for weekend call out if fire alarm triggers.
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the school buildings, classrooms, and grounds are well-maintained and safe.
* Overseeing cleaning, repairs, and routine maintenance of the site.
* Managing the maintenance of school equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure.
* Conducting regular health and safety checks to ensure the school complies with regulations.
* Ensuring fire safety, emergency exits, and equipment are in proper working order.
* Managing risk assessments and implementing health and safety procedures.
* Managing and supervising a team of caretakers, cleaners, and maintenance staff.
* Allocating tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring work is carried out efficiently.
* Overseeing the security of the premises, including locking and unlocking the school, monitoring security systems, and controlling access to the site.
* Managing the safeguarding of equipment and property.
* Managing budgets for repairs, supplies, and maintenance.
* Ordering and maintaining supplies for the school's facilities.
* Working closely with the headteacher, school administration, and external contractors.
* Communicating with staff and teachers about facility needs or issues.
* Preparing and supporting school events by ensuring rooms, grounds, and facilities are set up appropriately.
* Overseeing the use of school facilities for extracurricular activities or external bookings.
* Ensuring the upkeep of outdoor areas, including sports fields, gardens, and playgrounds.
* Managing landscaping or outdoor maintenance tasks.
* Keeping records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
* Reporting issues and arranging for external contractors when necessary.
Enhanced DBS is required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.95-£19.45 per hour
