Are you a driven Site Manager with a strong background in refurbishment and extension projects? Do you enjoy working on technically involved schemes where organisation, leadership, and attention to detail really matter?
I'm working with a respected regional contractor to recruit a Site Manager for a refurbishment and extension project in Cardiff. This business has a strong pipeline of work across the South West and Wales and is known for its hands‑on leadership, quality delivery, and supportive culture.
This role would suit a Site Manager who enjoys being site-based, takes pride in high standards, and wants to be part of a stable, growing regional business.
🏗️ The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you'll coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and act as the on‑site lead throughout the refurbishment and extension works.
* Day‑to‑day management of site operations
* Managing subcontractors, trades, and suppliers
* Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times
* Maintaining programme and driving productivity on site
* Quality control and coordination of works
* Liaising with the project team, client representatives, and consultants
* Managing site records, reporting, and snagging through to completion
âś… Ideal Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment and/or extension projects
* Background working for a main contractor
* Strong understanding of health & safety and site procedures
* Ability to manage multiple trades in live or constrained environments
* Good communication and leadership skills
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
