About the Role
Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading construction contractor delivering large-scale projects across Cornwall.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven site leader to take full responsibility for on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role from pre-construction through to final handover, driving programme and performance on site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring programme, quality, and safety targets are met
2. Oversee site activities including subcontractors, trades, and direct labour
3. Ensure health & safety regulations and company standards are adhered to
4. Coordinate site teams
5. Chair site meetings and client and progress meetings
6. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the SMT
7. Ensure all works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and regulations
8. Maintain accurate site records and documentation
Experience & Qualifications
9. Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager on contracting / apartment schemes
10. Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, including reinforced concrete (RC) structures
11. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver to tight programmes
12. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
13. Relevant site qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid) preferred
