What we're looking for As our Junior Developer & CRO Specialist, you will help shape the customer experience across our ecommerce website. You’ll work on frontend UI changes, run A/B tests, support product merchandising, and continually optimise the website to improve conversion, engagement, and commercial performance. This role suits a recent graduate or someone early in their development career who is excited about ecommerce, UX, and experimentation – someone who wants to see the direct impact of their work both on customers and commercially. You’ll work closely with Tech, Marketing and Product to deliver improvements that meaningfully influence customer journeys and sales. Key Responsibilities: Frontend Development Implement UI changes and small features across our website (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Update components, layouts, templates and customer flows to improve usability and brand consistency. Improve mobile responsiveness, accessibility and site performance. Work with the Development Team to deliver incremental enhancements in the online customer journey and our Django-based platform. Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Plan, build and run A/B or multivariate tests on landing pages, content sections, checkout flow, CTAs and product page layouts. Work with the Tech Lead and Marketing to translate campaign ideas into testable hypotheses. Analyse test data alongside the Marketing & Data Insights Analyst to identify statistically meaningful outcomes. Build test variants directly in code or using our experimentation tools. Maintain an ongoing optimisation pipeline with ideas, wins and next steps. Product Merchandising & Setup Create, maintain and optimise product listings, categories, attributes and bundles. Ensure product content is accurate, consistent, and compelling (whilst meeting Product team guidelines). Support promotions, launches and merchandising updates required by Product and Marketing. Maintain upsell/cross-sell logic, recommendation components and homepage merchandising. Analytics & Insight Use GA4, heatmaps and funnel data to identify drop-off points and opportunities. Report on performance of A/B tests and UX improvements. Support Marketing and Product with data-driven insights for campaigns and content changes. Product Merchandising & Setup Manage product and category setup within the company website. Update product assortments and upsell bundles to support targeted marketing campaigns. Create new product listings and entries based on business or marketing needs. Systems & Platform Management Assist with Django admin updates for product content configuration. Maintain data hygiene across product and category systems. Explore opportunities to automate or streamline product management workflows – from improving internal tools to trialling emerging agentic/AI-driven merchandising and SEO optimisation recommendations. Key relationships Reports to Tech Lead Key internal relationships Development Team Marketing Product Measured on Quality and impact of frontend improvements Conversion rate uplift from A/B tests and UX changes Quality, accuracy and timeliness of product setups/updates Contribution to new features and ongoing development Collaboration and responsiveness across teams Experience & Skills Needed Experience Intermediate experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Interest or experience in A/B testing or CRO principles. Experience editing website content or product data. Familiarity with GA4 and A/B testing tools is helpful. Understanding of UX principles or frontend optimisation is a plus. Character Curious, analytical and eager to experiment. High attention to detail. Proactive in identifying issues and suggesting improvements. Comfortable switching between coding work and operational tasks. Strong communicator who enjoys cross-team collaboration. Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple small projects. What we offer: Salary: £30,000 for 37.5hr Full Time Company pension contribution of 6% to help you plan for your future (you also contribute 5%). 33 days annual leave, including public holidays.
