Location: Bedford College - Cauldwell Street Campus - Shuttleworth College - Old Warden, Group wide role
Salary/Benefits: Salary between £41,086 and £47,971 per annum (DOE and qualifications). 35 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Teacher's pension. Retail and leisure discounts. Professional and personal development opportunities.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time

About the role
We are currently seeking two Quality Managers to join the Quality department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities
* Drive Quality Initiatives – Implement and lead systems, processes, and innovations to improve teaching, learning, and assessment across the Group.
* Monitor & Audit Performance – Analyse data, review procedures, and conduct audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
* Support Curriculum & Staff Development – Work with departments to enhance quality, manage professional development, and oversee Advanced Practitioner activity.
* Lead Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting – Manage feedback processes, prepare reports, and support external inspections (Ofsted, TEF, OfS).
* Ensure Compliance & Standards – Act as College Nominee for awarding bodies, uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety, and participate in training and development.
Qualifications
* Essential Qualifications – Degree or equivalent professional qualification, Certificate in Education/PGCE, and GCSE Maths & English (A-C or Level 2).
* Leadership & Management Experience – Proven track record in education management within FE, HE, or Apprenticeships, including quality improvement and resource management.
* Quality & Compliance Expertise – Experience with self‑assessment, internal verification, awarding bodies, and data analysis to drive improved student success.
* Professional Skills & Attributes – Strong influencing and communication skills, ability to lead teams, share best practice, and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* Values & Flexibility – Commitment to safeguarding, College values (Student Focus, High Performance, Respect, Openness, Honesty), willingness to travel, and continuous professional development.
