Site Manager
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: Grade E - Scale 11 - 17 (£28,142 - £31,022)
Hours: 37 hours (2 hour lunch break) All year round
The Governors of Gaskell Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to take pride in maintaining our school building and grounds, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. The successful applicant will join our friendly, supportive and highly performing staff team.

Responsibilities
* Have relevant experience in site management in a school or a similar setting.
* Have a strong understanding of all health and safety procedures and requirements and ensure compliance, including conducting regular checks, managing fire safety systems, and maintaining records.
* Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks across the school premises and grounds, including litter picking, light gardening, and ensuring pathways are clear and safe.
* Be a key holder, responsible for the security of the buildings and grounds, including opening and closing the school daily and managing alarm systems.
* Oversee and assist with the cleaning standards of the school buildings and manage external cleaning contractors.
* Oversee and liaise with external contractors on site, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within school safety guidelines.
* Manage stock control for maintenance and cleaning supplies.
* Have the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks.
* Be a fantastic team player with a good sense of fun.
* Have a full driving licence.
Qualifications and Skills
* Relevant experience in site management in a school or similar setting.
* Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and compliance.
* Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks and manage contractors.
* Good organisational and time-management skills; ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
* Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
* Full driving licence.
