Yard Labourer needed in Woking, £12.21ph PAYE - Reference: 5273252 Depot Maintenance and Cleanliness: • Conduct litter picking to ensure the depot and surrounding areas remain clean and tidy. • Sweep all roads, pavements, and outdoor surfaces to maintain cleanliness. • Empty all external rubbish bins daily. • Clean and maintain all outdoor signage. • Monitor and oversee the Waste Electrical and Electronic (W.E.E.), recycled batteries, and textile areas, including the management of container swap overs. • Conduct routine weeding and trim back bushes and trees around the perimeter of the depot. • Perform gutter cleaning and ensure all drainage systems, including gully grids, are free of debris. • Carry out minor maintenance repairs and general upkeep tasks, ensuring facilities remain in good working order. • Assist with clearing and cleaning of vehicle wash drains. • Take delivery of materials such as rock salt, bins, and other store goods, ensuring proper storage. • Maintain accurate stock levels of commercial refuse bins, parts, and related equipment. • Wash and repair commercial refuse bins as necessary. • Spread rock salt around the yard during freezing conditions to prevent accidents. • Ensure that all areas are free of hazards and help maintain a safe working environment. • Operate forklift and JCB machinery as required for depot operations and material handling. • Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to any temporary yard labourer, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard. Allocate duties, monitor performance, and support integration into depot operations. This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
