Reporting to the UK Operations Manager and being part of the UK senior management team of the organisation, the quality manager will lead all quality, HSE, environment & CSR activities for.
An experienced quality professional, with demonstrable understanding and deployment of quality tools within a small to medium volume, high mix, non-automated manufacturing environment, the quality manager will drive improvement throughout the entire business.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by pro-actively driving improvement in the business to bring greater efficiency, minimise product ppm levels and internal waste.
- Management of the quality system to ISO 9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015
- Team management of quality engineers and technicians at two sites.
- Overall responsibility for Health and Safety at both sites, including compliance to all relevant legislation.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by a close follow up of field non-conformance, and corrective action implementation. Which will mean direct customer contact.
- Improving the supply base of the company, via audit, further KPI implementation and feedback mechanisms to improve efficiency and quality of supplied product
- Interfacing with international companies in the group quality teams, to ensure consistency of approach and processes, with occasional international travel accordingly.
- Setting a standard and enhancing quality culture within all aspects of the business, leading by example.
- Driving the UK environmental and strategy and actions, to minimise waste, utility usage and carbon footprint.
Required skills & experience:
Quality Management experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience leading a quality team
A working knowledge of implementing and improving quality tools
Auditing experience
