We were judged as Good by Ofsted in November 2021; we were also judged as Good by the Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in April 2024, with 7 out of 9 areas judged as Outstanding.

We are proudly part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust, which comprises of three Secondary Schools and twelve Primary Schools. We are a Catholic School that extols the teachings of Jesus Christ and the values of servant leadership in everything we do.

We can offer:

* a welcoming and supportive staff team

* a commitment to your professional development
* friendly and caring school and parish community
* a passionate and forward-thinking Senior Leadership Team and Academy Council
* an excellent pension package
* health and wellbeing support
* opportunity to apply for a blue light card to save money at 15,000 retailers

The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust is wholly committed to ensuring children and young people are fully supported and safe. We are dedicated to the safeguarding of all children and young people whilst promoting their welfare, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this responsibility. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS with barred list check and other appropriate checks, including references. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education Guidance (2024), online searches will be carried out on shortlisted candidates. This post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. Prior to interview, all shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a form for self-disclosure of their unprotected criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children.

St. Wilfrid's Catholic High School and Sixth Form College, with its distinctive Catholic identity, seeks to ensure the development of all students' spiritual, moral and academic potential, based on its commitment to Christ and His teachings.

As a community, the school is committed to the common good, which is achieved through the fostering of a co-operative and caring ethos, both with St Wilfrid's, parishes, family and the wider community.

Such an approach is based on the Christian principle of personal dignity and worth where each person's rights and responsibilities are recognised and respected, and their individual talents nurtured.

These talents include the search for academic excellence within a secure learning environment, where the needs and potential of all pupils are addressed and where achievement, both individual and collective, is celebrated.

We are incredibly proud of our community, students, supportive parents, staff and governors. All of us work together to make St Wilfrid's a safe and enjoyable place to learn.

At St Wilfrid's we have high standards at the heart of all we do. We encourage our students to achieve the best they can across every area of school. A rich and broad curriculum provides high-quality education and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Our aim is for our students to be confident, caring, resilient young adults with a desire to learn and achieve the best they can, in all they do.

We welcome students of any faith or of none, but our faith has a positive influence on our approach. We are building a community of young adults who recognise and appreciate the value of each other's company while growing in knowledge and faith. Students feel a sense of responsibility and care for others and are willing to give something of themselves for the happiness and the improvement of the broader community.
