Construction Manager (Mechanical and Electrical Bias) – Aviation – Manchester Location: Manchester Airport (5 days on site)
Duration: Initial 6-month contract
Hours: 40 per week
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong Mechanical and Electrical bias to join a high-profile aviation project based at Manchester Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on major capital projects, supporting the successful delivery of key infrastructure developments.
Provide Construction Management support across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Coordinate activities between subcontractors, project delivery teams, and stakeholders.
Act as Manchester Airport Group’s day-to-day site representative, ensuring that contractor activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Monitor site progress through regular inspections and site visits, ensuring works align with contract documentation and project timelines.
Maintain exceptional standards in safety, quality, cost control, programme delivery, sustainability, and compliance.
Advocate for and enforce local health and safety rules and regulations.
Degree qualified in a relevant field.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in construction management, preferably within aviation or similar complex environments.
Strong Mechanical and Electrical experience, particularly with systems such as substations, runway cabling, and airside requirements.
Must be local to Manchester or willing to commute 5 days a week to site.
Security clearance for airport operations is required.
