A well established organisation with a growing high street andmercial estate across the UK and Ireland is continuing to expand its Facilities team. Due to ongoing growth and new site openings, they are now seeking an experienced Tradesperson to support multiple sites across London and the South of England.
Your new role
As a Tradesperson, you will be responsible for delivering high quality reactive and planned maintenance across a portfolio of sites. This is a mobile, home based role covering Greater London, with regular travel to sites and occasional travel outside the region.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out day to day maintenance and minor repair works across multiple trades
2. Repairing or replacing fixtures and fittings ( doors, locks, hinges, shelving, signage)
3. Undertaking minor electrical tasks where permitted ( changing light fittings)
4. Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests
5. Assisting with planned preventative maintenance tasks
6. Identifying and reporting defects requiring specialist contractor attendance
7. Ensuringpliance with health & safety regulations and safe working practices
8. Maintaining accurate records ofpleted works
9. Keeping tools, stores, and work areas safe and tidy
10. Providing professional and customer focused service at all times
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
11. Proven experience in a trade, caretaker, facilities, or maintenance role
12. Strong practical knowledge across multiple trades ( plumbing, joinery, decorating)
13. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely
14. Good understanding of health & safety practices
15. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
16. Strong problem solving and organisational skills
17. Goodmunication and customer service skills
18. CSCS card
19. Full UK driving licence
20. Flexibility to travel regularly across London and occasionally further afield
Desirable (but not essential):
21. Relevant trade qualification ( NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
22. Facilities management, healthcare, housing, or education experience
23. Basic electrical or plumbing certification
24. Legionella or asbestos awareness training
25. Experience using CAFM or maintenance systems
26. Additional trade skills such as tiling, patch plastering, or basic flooring
