The Maternity service is delivered across 2 hospital sites and community, providing care for approximately 8,500 births per year. Women can choose to birth at home, within the Labour Suite, or the Midwife Led unit on either site. Our service aims to deliver safe, high-quality care aligned with local and national objectives, supported by strong organisational values and behaviours.
This role involves:
1. Daily coordination of the Labour Suite.
2. Competency in IV cannulation and suturing.
3. Completing acuity and safe staffing data.
4. Ensuring timely care delivery.
5. Risk identification and escalation for safety and quality.
6. Checking essential and emergency equipment.
7. IPC responsibilities.
8. Participation in audits and governance processes.
9. Managing the non-clinical manager of the day (MOD) rota.
10. Flow management across all areas.
11. Ability to work all shifts.
