Role Overview
This is a hands-on, strategic role for an HR professional who can balance day-to-day operational needs with longer-term cultural and organisational development. You’ll take ownership of all HR activity across the business — from recruitment and policy development to performance management and employee engagement.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership to define company values, build a strong and inclusive culture, and ensure that our people processes evolve in line with growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver a comprehensive Company Handbook that reflects our policies, values, and ways of working.
2. Create a Culture and Values deck that clearly communicates The Despatch Company’s identity, purpose, and employee value proposition.
3. Audit and update all existing HR policies, ensuring they are compliant with UK employment law and consistent with best practice.
4. Recruit all UK-based staff, managing end-to-end hiring processes — from job design and advertising through to onboarding and retention.
5. Manage and support the HR Assistant based in Türkiye, ensuring alignment and consistency in policies, documentation, and people practices across regions.
