Job Overview We are looking for a skilled and reliable Builder / Handyperson to join our team on a casual basis. This role is ideal for a multi-skilled tradesperson with experience in general building maintenance, repairs, and small construction projects. The successful candidate will work on a variety of residential and commercial properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform general building repairs and maintenance, including carpentry, plastering, tiling, and basic plumbing. Construct and repair walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural elements as required. Assist with small refurbishment and renovation projects. Install and repair doors, windows, skirting boards, and other fittings. Carry out basic plumbing work, such as fixing leaks, installing sinks, and unblocking drains. Handle minor electrical repairs (if qualified). Diagnose issues and recommend the best solutions for repair or maintenance. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations. Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a clean and organised manner. Essential Requirements Proven experience as a Builder, Handyperson, or Multi-Skilled Tradesperson (minimum 1 years preferred). Strong knowledge of general building work, including carpentry, plastering, tiling, and minor plumbing. Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently. Good understanding of health and safety regulations, including safe use of tools and materials. Own tools and equipment preferred. Full UK driving licence and access to transport preferred. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexibly as needed. Desirable Qualities NVQ Level 2 or higher in a relevant trade (e.g., Carpentry, Plastering, or Construction). Experience working in both residential and commercial settings. Knowledge of painting and decorating techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
