Bluebell Park is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. About Us: At Bluebell Park, we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. Our specialist school caters to pupils with a range of needs including ASC, PMLD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Mentor who can: To work closely with pupils who have diverse learning, behavioural and SEND needs. To identify barriers to learning in individual pupils using the Thrive baseline assessment. To use the Thrive tools to develop and lead on an individual action plan for each pupil identified as needing help to overcome barriers to learning. To develop one to one mentoring relationship with pupils needing support. To meet with parents to discuss and agree pupil action plans. To analyse and evaluate data from Thrive assessments and adapt actions/intervention where necessary. To work closely with external agencies to ensure pupils receive relevant, coordinated support. To analyse data in relation to barriers to learning and identify strategies to improvement. To present progress data to teachers and senior leaders on areas such as attendance and attainment. To work closely with the designated safeguarding lead on safeguarding issues. To support pupils social, emotional and mental health needs. About You: The ideal candidate will have: Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils and adults, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration and demonstrate concern for pupil’s development as learners. Demonstrates high expectations for all pupils. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and carry out the role effectively, knowing when to seek help and advice.
